Mad Doc Software acquired by Rockstar, now Rockstar New England

Looks like the development empire of the company is by no means slowing down despite the heavy criticisms for its prominent game titles (GTA is a dead giveaway). Mad Doc Software logo - Image 1In a press release from Rockstar Games, it has been announced that the said company has created a new development studio in the form of Mad Doc Software“>Rockstar New England. This was achieved through the acquisition of Mad Doc Software.

Mad Doc Software was the team responsible for the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition. According to the press release, they are particularly focused “on artificial intelligence and networking.”

Founder of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser, had this to say about the acquisition:

Bringing them (Mad Doc Software) within the Rockstar Games family will enhance our core technology and further support our commitment to creating progressive and innovative gaming experiences.
