Madden 09 Patch #2 goes live for PS3, Xbox 360
The new patch for EA’s Madden 09 is now live for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 What are the improvements? Any new bugs that the new patch brought? Find out more after the jump.
Madden 09 (Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PC, PS3, PS2) fans looking forward to Patch #2 should be able to sleep more soundly tonight. The patch has landed to both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and according to those who have tried it out, Electronic Arts really did step up the game for this one.
However, there are some issues that remain unresolved, say for example the freezes in franchise mode. And if you encountered the franchise freeze pre-patch, then you’ll have to start over. But fortunately, those that did not have issues previously should have no problems. Although, it is disappointing to see that the bug hasn’t fixed yet up until this point given that it was one of the foremost glitches identified previously.
And not only that, there seems to be a problem now with the CPU. It appears that with this new patch, snapping the ball now takes quite a bit of waiting time, even when it’s on extra points.
Anyway, as for getting the patch, it shouldn’t be too hard. Just as long as you’re connected online when starting the next game, downloading the patch comes automatically. Also, no need to worry about restarting the franchise mode. The patch effects will still show up.
