Mafia II DLC details

Set to hit the PlayStation Network at the same time as Mafia II‘s launch, The Betrayal of Jimmy gives players an alternate perspective of the mob through the eyes of a mercenary named — you guessed it — Jimmy.

The DLC adds dozens of arcade-style, city-based assassination and timed vehicle missions that basically have Jimmy rampaging through the streets of Empire Bay. Players get points for performance, power slides, and skill shots. The scores then get automatically posted to the game’s online leaderboards.

The Betrayal of Jimmy will be available for free to those who purchase a brand-new copy ofMafia II. It will also be sold on the PlayStation Store for US$ 9.99 for everybody else.

Jimmy’s Vendetta, on the other hand, will add more city-based missions and locales to the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game. Details on pricing and availability for Jimmy’s Vendetta will be revealed at a later date.

Mafia II comes out in North America on August 24 and internationally on August 27.
