Major fallout: Bethesda says no for now to Fallout 3 PS3 Post-Ending Play

Fallout 3 - Image 1I don’t know if this is the weekend lull sending my brain into atrophy, but I seem to be having a hard time grasping why developers and publishers are deciding the way they do with their games. Earlier, we got word on Sega not having any plans of bringing Yakuza 3 to the PS3. Now, we have Bethesda not planning to make post-ending play possible for Fallout 3 on the PS3. What’s up, guys?

Earlier, we got word on Sega not having any plans of bringing Yakuza 3 to the West. Now, we have Bethesda not planning to make post-ending play possible for Fallout 3 (also on Xbox 360, PC) on the PS3. What’s up, guys?

As it stands, PS3 players only have until the ending of the game to do all their explorations. If you have any unfinished side quests that you would like to revisit to finish, the only way you can do that would be to boot an old save. Thing is, Bethesda Softworks is sending out a new DLC for both the Xbox 360 and PC platforms that will allow them to play on even after the credits are done rolling.

MTV Multiplayer got in touch with executive producer Todd Howard, and this is what he simply had to say about the possibility of having a post-ending adventure for Fallout 3 PS3: “Not at this time, no.”

Again, I am left baffled. What do you guys think? Could Microsoft have somehow bought off this DLC as another “exclusive”?
