Mama Mia, it’s Cooking Mama! New Wii screens
Okay, so this game may be shelved by some feminists as stereotyping the modern woman (or “post-modern”, if you want) as someone whose only destiny is to be a housewife (hmmm… brings back memories of those creepy “Stepford Wives”) who find doing household chores such as doing the laundry and cooking the only ways to be fulfilled as a woman. Sure, being a housewife is a fulfilling job and all, but then again, there’s a problem if ‘ya think that’s the only thing you’re made for, sistah.
Anyway, back to feminists. Some may think that Cooking Mama is one game that advocates the “I’m-destined-to-be-a-housewife” mindset, designed to make housewives cool, with its fun twist to cooking. Well, maybe, maybe not. But what I am sure is that this game really adds pizazz to traditional cooking, whether you’re a housewife or not (after all, you don’t have to be a housewife nor a feminist to love cooking, right?)
We heard that this Wii game (there’s a DS version also) will be making its way to Western shores sometime next year, and it sure is making us giddy with excitement. Wanna have a taste of what this game is like? Check out the new batch of screens we have for ya.
