Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games goes gold, release moved up to November 6
Those itching to see Sonic and Mario finally go toe to toe against each other will finally be able to a bit earlier than expected. According to IGN, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS, Wii) has finally gone gold and is now headed into the manufacturing stage.
Sega has also announced that the game’s release date has been moved up to November 6. Super Smash Bros. Brawl – which has also been confirmed to include Sonic – is expected to hit later in December, so Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games should serve as a good prelude.
While Olympic titles generally don’t get huge sales figures, expectations for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games are high, thanks mainly to the inclusion of two of the most recognizable gaming icons in history.
