Mario Kart 64, Virtual Console, next week, ‘nuf said
Everyone hates complaining. And pretty much almost every other time we post a Virtual Console line-up entry on our blogs, everyone is complaining. There’s a very good reason for that, though. Because everyone is complaining about when Nintendo will release Mario Kart 64 on the Wii Shopping Channel.
Not that we’re complaining about the commenters who complain – we do admit that this is one of the previous-gen titles that a lot have been eagerly anticipating since time immemorial, as was A Link to the Past.
Well, complain no further. Mario Kart 64 hits VC next week. Yes, the glory of all things 64! This title is the second Nintendo 64 on the VC list – the first being Super Mario 64. This classic racer will bring back the memories of all those wacky race courses, special items, and secret shortcuts.
Whether you’re playing it out in the Mario Grand Prix mode, Versus, or Battle mode (pop them balloons!), we’re pretty sure a lot of you guys have grown addicted to the game. The simple fact of how a lot of you guys have been asking for it is proof enough.
Oh wait… Is it just us or do we hear the collective sound of the Nintendo 64 Kid that lies within us all, screaming in our heads, “Niiiiintendo SIX-TEE-PHOAR! OH MY GOD!”
