Mario Party 8 out in Japan this July 26
It’s been announced that Mario Party 8 will finally be out in Japan this July 26. This game was released in the U.S. last May 30, so Japan is getting it a little late. Still, it’s good that gamers in Japan will be getting the chance to party soon – better late then never, eh?
Anyway, Mario Party 8 is pretty much the same as previous iterations of the Mario Party series. There have been quite a few complaints, however, regarding the mini games that make this such a fun play. The problem, it seems, is in the implementation of the Wiimote: there’s not enough use of it.
Others have also complained that some of the levels appear like rehashed levels from the older versions of the title. One thing no one has complained about though is the game board, which a lot of players (myself included) find amusing and well planned.
Our readers in Japan should take note about the release date if they’ve been planning on picking up this game since anything with the label “Mario” has been known to go flying off the shelves in Akihabara. Be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on Mario Party 8.
