Mario shows off his Galaxy at E3
Mario got his game on during E3 this year with Super Mario Galaxy, his title for the Wii coming this November 12. Labeled as an action platformer, players get to control Mario as he defies gravity, explores new planets, and uses new power-ups in his quest to save Princess Peach from her kidnapper.
Using the Wiimote and the Nunchuk, players get to run, jump, and battle enemies in the traditional Mario style, or use the stars he collects to blast them from afar. The game also offers a new two-player co-op system where the second player just has to pick up another Wiimote to jump in and either help or hinder Mario. Also, brand new mushrooms, suits, and challenges await the eager Mario fan as he/she explores the galaxy.
Watch the video as developers take us through the Honeybee planet of Mario’s universe. With beautiful graphics, unique gameplay, and a great Mario chase through space, we’d wager that Super Mario Galaxy would make it to the “I-want” lists of many gamers in the coming months.
