Mario Sightings!

CarrieCarrie, the 1974 horror movie based off of Stephen King’s first novel, may have some subliminal messages. In a classroom scene, a student is seen wearing some familiar clothes: A red T-Shirt, a red hat, and blue overalls (pictured left).

Coincidence? I think not. This proves that Mario-Mania existed before Mario was even created!

MarioAnother odd Mario sighting was spotted by a Kotaku reader. The reader recalls the event… “Today, one of the last days in school this year, all the students had decided to play soccer against the teachers. Then one guy came up with this video camera and started to record it, and I swear to God, he looked EXACTLY like Super Mario… I had to secretly take a photo of him with my cellphone.” The odd plumber-like man seemed to have no prior intentions to look like Mario.

Be sure to keep an eye out for a Mario near you. You never know what you could find! Send your pictures or descriptions to [email protected]. Your Mario-spotting may end up posted here on QJ.net!
