Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games new gameplay screenshots
If you were to go back in time right smack in the middle of 1994 and told Sega Genesis and SNES fanboys that one day, Sonic and Mario would team up for a video game called Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, there’s a good chance that you would’ve been mobbed. Today, however, we know better because the game definitely is coming and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is the first cross-over for the Nintendo Wii console and Nintendo DS handheld.
These are 10 fresh new screenshots of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games‘ Nintendo Wii version. Notice that the collaborative effort by Sega and Nintendo is shaping up real nice as the characters look good and the gameplay seems to be a lot of fun if you like your sports wacky.
The game is set to push the DS Stylus and the Wiimote to new limits as rapid shaking and other innovative gestures will be required in most events. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games even has the official license from the International Olympic Committee, and all the events and locales will be based on host city Beijing. Watch out for this one come the holiday season.
