Mark Ecko Talks Revolution

Mark Ecko sat down for an interview and he had quite a bit to say on several subjects, including the Nintendo Revolution. There has been much talk about how well a graffiti game like Mark Ecko’s Getting Up could do with the Revolution, and after hearing Mark Ecko’s words, it looks like it might just happen.

Brian Crecente: Oh yeah, yeah. Well I sorta asked and I’m sure, I know youÂ’ve talked about this and thought about it sounds like, the whole Revolution and the fact that theyÂ’ve got it seems like controls that could be very conducive to like, you know, if you want –

Mark Ecko: Yeah, weÂ’re totally weÂ’re all over that you know like weÂ’re probably more likely to go there before even like a next gen on the other boxes, that is conceivable but weÂ’re honestly, weÂ’re really, youÂ’re really just doing due diligence, you know, weÂ’re meeting developers and trying to get an inventory of peopleÂ’s tech and their ability to push the brand, the game play experience forward. Since so much of that is defined by what the developers gonna do itÂ’s the time in doing our due diligence.

Ecko also talks about his outlook on gaming in general, his take on the amount of urban-themed games out there, the upcoming Bob Ross title for Revolution, and his thoughts on the Nintendo DS. It’s all done in a very laid-back style that should be easy to follow, but is actually quite hard. The man says “you know” a heckuva lot!
