Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Nunchuk Controls
Before, we reported on the accuracy of the Wiimote in terms of generating gestures from your favorite Marvel characters. Imagine flicking your wrists to shoot Spidey webs! Now the spotlight’s on the Nunchuk controller, and here’s a thing or two on how it’s going to be used in the said game.
Most of you probably don’t pay much attention to camera controls. However, according to GameSpy’s Sterling McGarvey, it may prove quite helpful for those who intend to play Marvel:Ultimate Alliance on the Wii. For instance, you can quickly shift your attention to a particular spot on the map, with just a tilt of your Nunchuk controller. With a lot of Marvel characters in action splattered all over the map, this camera feature will prove to be quite handy.
But be sure that you only tilt the nunchuk, as Vicarious Vision made the game smart enough to actually know the difference between a jerk and a tilt from the controller. Tilts are for camera movement, while jerks are for picking loot, or grabbing NPCs just so you can have the fun of swinging them in the air.
Of course, you can always do button mashing, but it would help a lot if you know at least the basic Wiimote controls. For example, a downward whip stuns the enemy, while swinging the wiimote up launches quick attacks. Of course there are loads more, but we’ll leave it to you to discover those, when the game’s released this November.
