Mashall University students raffle off customized Wii

Nintendo Wii - Image 1Customizing your own console is a risky business, but for the students of Marshall University, it’s all part of their master plan to raise enough money for the less fortunate. When one wants to raise awareness and funds for a deserving charity, one has to have an irresistible hook so that people will take notice. This “hook” can be pretty much anything, so long as it has value – and it seems that students at Marshall University got it right the first time, as they’ve put a customized Wii up for grabs, via a raffle that directly benefits non-profit organization United Way.

What’s so special about the Wii that’s getting raffled off? The fact that it’s customized to the hilt, that’s why. See that awesome green color? Yeah, you do, as well as the big freaking Marshall University logo on the side. When you squint at it, it almost looks like the Wii is a sport scar – a rather off-coloured sport scar at that, but still a sport scar nonetheless.

In any case, check out the video below for a local station’s news coverage about the event. Enjoy!
