Matt from IGN interviews Perrin Kaplan
My brain stops working whenever I see the great Perrin Kaplan, the woman I want to adopt as my mom. So to all of you who keep calling her a “hot mama,” back off! 😛
She’s the VP of Marketing and Corporate Affairs of Nintendo of America. And in this YouTube video, IGN has caught her in a perky mood (a previous interview caught her in a tired state, and it didn’t help that the interviewer’s first tactic was to ask her all the tough questions). By the way, if you didn’t see the companion piece to this video, you better look for it: it’s the hallelujah video where Matt Casamassina shows off the Wii hardware.
Lots of stuff in this video (yeah, we know some of you have seen it, but this is *big stuff* here in this little video). My favorite part is when the Dragonlady of Nintendo attacks the “why doesn’t the Wii have a DVD player” issue:
Let me see. You are going to go this weekend and you are going go to a couple of garage sales and you are going to pick up a couple DVD players and you’re going to get one probably for five bucks (it’s a little banged up) and you’re going to get one for like maybe 18 dollars because it’s brand new out of the box and then you’re going to go Best Buy and you’re going to get one 29 bucks and you’re going to have three DVD players. I don’t think you need one on here.
