Media Create Japanese hardware charts: January 18 to 24, 2010

Sony’s PSP handheld has grabbed the top spot in Media Create’s Japanese hardware charts for the third week straight. PSP sales a couple of weeks ago were bouyed up by Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep‘s release, and now it’s Valkyria Chronicles 2‘s turn to give the handheld’s numbers a big push.

Despite landing only on the second spot in the software charts, Valkyria Chronicles 2 still managed to push the PSP’s sales up to 52,909. The second-place Wii isn’t too far off with 45,167 units sold. The PSP Go’s sad plight continues, however, as it once again placed last.
