Media Create Japanese software sales chart for October 29 to November 4
With Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii out to join the fray, it’s easy to imagine what title will be on top of Japanese software sales charts for weeks to come. Media Create‘s numbers for October 29 to November 4 show that the Italian plumber sold 251,000 copies of his latest game to run laps around the competition. Namco Bandai‘s Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation takes second place, while Sony PlayStation 3 titles shy away from Japan‘s top 30 last week.

Media Create recently released Japan‘s software sales figures for October 29 to November 4, revealing the inevitable rise to the top of Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii after selling 251,000 copies in its first week. Namco Bandai takes second place with Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, spearheading the charge joined by The Idolmaster and Earth Defense Forces 3 to improve the Microsoft Xbox 360’s reputation in the land of the rising sun.
As usual, Nintendo DS titles took up almost half of Japan’s top 30. Square Enix‘ Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire continues to experience healthy sales along with novel collection DS Bungaku Zenshuu and mystery thriller DS Nishimura Kyotaro Suspense Shin Tantei Series: Kyoto Atami Zekkai no Kotou – Satsui no Wana to support Ninty’s handheld.
