Media Create: SSBB ousted from Japan software sales top spot
It looks like the reign of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl has finally come to an end according to the software sales numbers from Media Create in Japan. You can check out the top 10 software titles in Japan as well as the new chart topper this week in the full article.
It looks like Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl is no longer standing in the limelight as the latest software sales numbers from Japan for the week of March 2 have finally been tallied.
According to Media Create, Namco Bandai’s Gundam Musou Special for the PS2 ousted last week’s chart topper, Brawl, with a whopping 150,000 units sold. Super Smash Bros. Brawl took up the second place spot with 67,000 sold, followed by Wii Fit in third place with 64,000.
In the hardware department, Sony’s PlayStation Portable actually outsold the Nintendo Wii with a good 13,000 lead against the best-selling console. This was partly thanks to the release of the mint green PSP-2000 MG, which boosted the handheld’s numbers.
