Step 1: Get and install PMP Mod v2.00 on your PSP.

Since version 0.3.8, MediaCoder comes with a dedicated transcoder for PSP Media Player. Click the PSP button to activate it.

Step 4: Crop to keep Aspect Ratio.
To make sure you get the correct aspect ratio (1.765:1 for the 480×272 PSP screen), you may need to do cropping on the original video.

Step 5: Start transcoding.
Back to the PSP transcoder window. Once your PSP is connected to your PC, you will be notified of the status at the right bottom corner. If you start transcoding while PSP is connected, you will be asked whether to directly transcode into your PSP. You can set an output folder at the main window and choose No at this point if your want to transcode to your hard drive and then manually copy the result file to PSP (put the .pmp files in PSPVIDEO so that you can see them in PMP).
