Mercury Meltdown Revolution to be released on September 25
After months of waiting and speculating, Ignition Entertainment has finally confirmed a U.S. release date for the video game Mercury Meltdown Revolution. This particular iteration in the franchise is actually a remake of the version that was released on the Playstation Portable and PlayStation 2.
The date to watch out for is September 25 and anyone who has US$ 19.99 should be able to purchase a copy. Ignition’s Director of Product Development Ken Gratz had this to say,
With over two years of franchise development, we’ve really taken the time and perfected the blob physics, enhanced the graphics, and created an extremely compelling experience that’s a perfect fit on the Wii.
We’ve finally found a video game system that would allow us to fully realize our vision and passion for the Mercury games.
In this game, players will be dealing with imaginative machines, kooky characters, and bubbling test tubes. The objective of the game is to tilt and flow the mercury blob around obstacles while avoiding some pesky adversaries. All of these, of course, will be done with the help of the Wiimote.
Mercury Meltdown Revolution is home to 150-plus different levels. Aside from these, a handful of mini games were also added by Ignition exclusively for Wii players.
