Video games – specially the highly anticipated ones – often have a habit of getting delayed. Metal Gear Online seems to have taken the opposite route with the release of its beta test. Instead of the previously announced April 21 date, it will instead begin on April 14.

According to Konami‘s website, the mistake was due to a clerical error. Meaning, based on Konami’s time tables, they’ve always probably had April 14 as the beta’s starting date. The original date of the official game release still holds though, which is June 12.

Remember, pre-ordering Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots gets you a ticket to the Beta, but it comes in limited supply. Word is, pre-orders become available when April hits, so mark your calendars.
