Metroid Prime 3 pushed back to New Year?

Why? Whhhhyyyyyy???? - Image 1What’s this we’re hearing that Nintendo‘s Metroid Prime 3: Corruption won’t make its 2007 deadline? CVG Reports that Best Buy has sent out an email to customers who have already placed their pre-orders for the Wii title, saying that the release date have been moved from this summer to – get this – New Year’s Eve.

Hmmm… first quarter of this year is almost over, and the Chinese New Year definitely already happened. So unless there’s some other calendar on the works out there, then the only conclusion we garner from that is that Metroid Prime 3 won’t be out ’til 2008. We don’t really know what’s up with the sudden change in schedule, and we have yet to hear anything official from Nintendo about the matter.

Whatever it is, we’re sure that Nintendo just wants to ensure that Metroid 3 will be near to perfection when they do release it. (hint, hint, Nintendo. This better be really worth the wait!)

So, until we hear any confirmation and more info on this bit, just stay tuned here for more.
