MGS Creator Received Death Threats

When speaking about why he decided to head MGS4 Hideo Kojima reviled that he had received a number of death threats after announcing that he would be less involved in the project.
“The staff heard about this and got very nervous,” said Kojima. “We talk today as if it was a joke, but at the time, it was not a joke at all. It was serious.”
