MGS4 still a PS3 exclusive: So much for the rumors

CVG reports that a Konami representative has informed them that “Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 at this time,” and that the adored and anticipated stealth game will still be “exclusive to PlayStation 3.”

Well, so much for the rumors and the speculation that circulated this past weekend. The rumor went that the MGS installment will branch out onto multiple platforms as Konami was worried that there won’t be enough PS3’s in circulation when MGS4 hits the shelves.

Of course, it is a bit unwise to rule out cross-platform versions of the game in the long term, but for the immediate future, unless Konami does a back-flip, it seems that Snake is solidly with Sony.
