Australian Xbox 360 owners will be having one hell of a GoW-centric weekend this week courtesy of Microsoft. The company’s just announced that in celebration of Emergence Day over in the land down under, Australian gamers will get a free weekend of Xbox Live Gold.
Yes, people, free! Starting Friday, November 24 at 3 P.M. EST all the way until 10 P.M. EST Sunday, November 26, every person with and Xbox 360 and a broadband connection in Australia will be able to got online, kick ass, and take names in Epic Games‘ Gears of War.
According to Microsoft Australia and New Zealand regional director David McLean, “Gears of War is a phenomenal title that truly demonstrates the next generation power of Xbox 360. The buzz around this game is sky high and we expect Gears of War to reach one million sales worldwide faster than any previous original Xbox game.”
