Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Supply Surge, 80 Games by June and More

Today Microsoft announced that Xbox 360 consoles will be more readily available due to a supply surge. Starting this week Microsoft will be shipping out 2 to 3 times as many Xbox 360 consoles as they previously have been to retailers throughout North America and Europe.  The addition of a third manufacturing partner has allowed Microsoft to produce more consoles than ever.

On top of their announcement of a large amount more 360’s shipping – Microsoft stated that there are more than 80 games en route to the market for Xbox 360 by June including such titles as Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, 2006 Fifa World Cup, Major League Baseball 2K6, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, Blazing Angels, X-Men: The Official Game of the Movie and many more.

To top off the news Microsoft revealed that new content will be available to download off the LIVE Marketplace in the near future for games like Perfect Dark Zero (new multiplayer maps), Project Gotham Racing 3 (new cars and achievements) and Kameo: Elements of Power (online co-op play).
