Microsoft Countersues Lucent

Remember that old controversy between Lucent Technologies and Microsoft regarding the MPEG 2 technology released with the Xbox 360 that belonged to Lucent. Well, not only is Microsoft standing firm in their defense, but now they’ve even go on to countersue Lucent over the incident. Microsoft is now claiming that the Lucent has violated several of Microsoft’s own patents in an attempt to turn the tides of battle. Microsoft was able to help Dell and Gateway overcome a similar defense lawsuit back in 2003, and now Microsoft hopes to stop this nonsense once in for all.
