Microsoft denies Premium Xbox 360 recall in Australia

We reported earlier last week that EB Games Australia had issued a recall of every single Premium Xbox 360 that it has in stock. The details were bleak as to why the consoles were pulled out but according to some reports, it was because of a problem in the hard drive.

After being quiet about the matter, Microsoft Australia has finally responded saying that the reports are nothing but rumors. One representative from Microsoft told gaming site CVG that “there has been no recall in Australia or anywhere else. The rumors and speculation appearing are just that – rumors and speculation”.

So if you’re living in Australia, is it wise to buy a Premium Xbox 360 now or is it better to wait a little longer? EB Games said that it recalled every single unit while Microsoft is saying that no such thing has occurred. Who are you going to believe?
