Microsoft Gives TGS the E3 Treatment
You guys probably already know what this means…yep, this September, Microsoft will also feature downloads from the Tokyo Game Show including updates from the floor, game trailers, and demos through Xbox Live Marketplace.
We all saw how Microsoft kicked up the E3 last may by offering downloads of behind-the-scenes reports via Xbox Live, and it’s only proper that they do the same with the TGS, right? Xbox Live users will be treated to Microsoft’s “Bring it Home: O-Ie-De Tokyo Game Show” (Bring it Home: Tokyo Game Show From Your Home) program from the 20th to 24th of this month, the exact dates when TGS will officially run. Hopefully Microsoft will also include their yearly pre-TGS conference in the program in case they let important gaming news slip out.
Not only that, Microsoft will also feature the Bring It Home program at the European Xbox 360 event, X06, which will run from September 25th to the 29th. The X06 usually remains exclusive to press people, but through the Bring It Home program, gamers will hopefully be able to get updates straight from the floor.
There’s no news yet from Microsoft as to whether the X06 or TGS coverage will be available in the US. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this time, the Japanese won’t be the only ones to gain access to TGS updates, like what happened last May during E3. Microsoft should definitely give those in the Pacific and Atlantic the same access that Japan got, and get a hell lotta more ‘Arigato’s from gamers across the globe.
