Reports of “Unreadable Disc” came out last week for Bungie’s blockbuster hit, Halo 3: ODST. Today, Microsoft has responded to these reports, saying that it’s just a “very small number” of cases.
The disc-read errors were said to occur particularly on the campaign mode, which in effect freezes the game, therefore becoming unplayable from that point on. Other complaints say that after the error, the Xbox 360 unit itself crashes.
Said MS via a spokesperson, “We are aware of a very small number of people who are reporting they can’t play the game. We are looking into it, but at this point it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue.”
For their part, Bungie is currently gathering data from those who experienced the said glitch in order to find the real problem and hopefully get it fixed quick.
