Microsoft: No price cut for UK
Earlier, we reported about Microsoft not commenting about the rumors (and flyers) heralding a hefty price cut on all the currently-available SKUs of the Xbox 360. Now we report on Microsoft finally speaking up about said rumors, and it’s a bit of bad news for those of us in the UK.
In a statement released through a UK spokesperson today, Microsoft debunked the rumors of a price cut for the Xbox 360 – at least as far as gamers looking to score a console in the UK are concerned. The statement, confirming that the company does not have any plans for a major price cut, also explains that they’re quite happy with how things are at the moment.
Certainly bad news to wake up to. But considering that they didn’t refute the chances of one actually happening – they did say that they had no plans ‘currently’ – and that they didn’t confirm nor deny the price cut for the other territories, there may still be hope for the Xbox 360 to be more budget-friendly in the near future. Anything’s possible, right?
Updates as we get them.
