Microsoft Readies For Impact Of PS3 And Wii Launch
Microsoft feels the heat of the competition as concerns have flown around over the alleged sales dip of the Xbox 360 due to the launch of Nintendo’s and Sony‘s game consoles. Netvine rumors say that Taiwan based Xbox 360 manufacturer Wistron has alerted financial analysts in Taipei of the coming slowdown and is now preparing to slow production of the MS console.
While it has not been disclosed by just how much the slowdown will be, Vnunet.com, the source who has purportedly seen the confidential documents revealing the bad news for Xbox 360, suggested that Microsoft is already trying to keep its head above the competition by planning to have a price cut on the Xbox 360. This way, it could be the solution for the said console’s competitive edge in the market.
In the meantime, Wistron has not yet released an official statement on its sales forecasts for the Xbox 360.
