Microsoft says 10.4 million Xbox 360 units sold worldwide
Microsoft has announced at CES 2007 that they have sold 10.4 million Xbox 360 units worldwide. Despite the fact that Microsoft is third in Japan, they have still managed to hit the 10 Million point in only 13 months.
This is quite significant because historically, when a console reaches the 10 Million point in sales, they eventually go on to become the console wars winner.
Currently, Nintendo has sold around three to four Million Wiis in just the first six weeks. So the real concern of Nintendo fans is if the Wii will be able to catch up with the Xbox 360 in time. Nintendo fans see this as highly likely. As for the PS3, it’s a matter of them shipping enough units to catch up, getting the games out, and keeping their fanbase loyal.
