Microsoft shipping free game with Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera

Live Vision CameraMicrosoft‘s Gamefest, being held this week in Seattle, has released new details on the launch of the Xbox Live Vision video camera for the Xbox 360 including the fact that it will be bundled with a free gesture-based game – TotemBall. The game was initially announced back in May this year, and is being developed by mainly Mac title publishers, Strange Flavour and Freeverse (who developed ToySight for the Apple iSight Camera).

TotemBall is controlled through gestures – that is, through the player’s arm movements. In the game you attempt to control a wheeled totem pole around each level, collecting items as you go and trying to reach the exit with the set time limit. According to Microsoft’s Jeff Stone, there has been no other officially announced products, but more are in the early stages of development.

TotemBall and the Xbox Live Vision Camera is set to ship this September, and according to GameStop the RRP will be US$39.99, even though no official price has yet been announced.
