The compilation will feature a series of short stories that explore different times, themes and characters from the Halo universe. Select episodes of Halo Legends will debut on Xbox Live this fall through a new experience called Halo Waypoint, which will also feature a career system and player rankings tied to both in-game and out-of-game accomplishments related to Halo.
Halo Legends will be produced by Microsoft‘s 343 Industries. They’ve also snagged anime luminaries Shinji Aramaki and Mamoru Oshii as creative director. Anime studios involved in the project include Bones Inc., Casio Entertainment Inc., Production I.G, STUDIO4˚C and Toei Animation.
