Microsoft tight-lipped about HD-DVD price cut for UK
Following Microsoft‘s earlier announcement of a US$ 20 price cut for the Xbox 360 video game console’s HD-DVD drive, European gaming news site Eurogamer asked Microsoft representatives about a similar announcement for the UK.
Unfortunately for European gamers, Microsoft once again kept to its old tight-lipped strategy. According to Eurogamer, a Microsoft spokesperson said that the company currently has “no announcements to make at this stage regarding a price cut of the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive for the UK.”
Of course, this does not close the possibility of the price cut ever reaching the UK. For comparison, the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive usually costs around GBP 110 to 130 (US$ 225 to 266).
