Microsoft treats Para Los Ninos with free Xbox 360s
The Microsoft Xbox 360 is raking in some serious revenue thanks in large part to its strong recent lineup of exclusive titles like Bungie’s Halo 3 and Take-Two’s BioShock. To show its appreciation, Microsoft has continues reaching out to consumers and finding a way to give back, especially to communities in need.
One recent example is that of the Para Los Niños children’s organization in one of Los Angeles‘ toughest neighborhoods. Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles were given away for the enjoyment of young bloggers and writers in a depressed community.
The young bloggers and writers paid close attention to Gamerscore staff speeches and interviewed them about what they do at work and their career aspirations. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed some action with EA’s FIFA 08 and Microsoft’s Viva Piñata to cap off a day full of sharing. The image reproduced above reveal one of the event’s happy moments. We’d love to see more efforts like this from other industry members.
