Microsoft: Xbox 360 is one million ahead of the PS3 in Europe
During last month’s GamesCom, Sony claimed that it had already sold 10 million units in PAL territories after Microsoft previously announced that it had sold over 9 million units of Xbox 360 in Europe. But now, Microsoft claims that the Xbox 360 still maintains a one million unit advantage over Sony’s PS3. Well here we go again…
During last month’s GamesCom, Sony claimed that it had already sold 10 million units in PAL territories after Microsoft previously announced that it had sold over 9 million units of Xbox 360 in Europe. But now, Microsoft claims that the Xbox 360 still maintains a one million unit advantage over Sony’s PS3.
According to Microsoft’s Xbox Euro boss Chris Lewis, the Xbox 360 still enjoys a healthy lead over the PS3 in Europe:
We’re confident we are actually around a million units ahead. We count installed base differently to them. We count the number of units in the hands of consumers. We are committed to continuing that momentum – not only in places like the UK, France and Germany. Continued growth in all parts of Europe is integral to winning [against PS3] overall.
