Mindgames introduces new dev studio, Punchers Impact

A new development studio has sprung up in France courtesy of Mindscape. The new studio is called Punchers Impact, and from their starting line-up of staffers, they’re certainly aiming at making an impact in the video gaming industry. If you may know, many of their new members used to be members of Electronic Arts and Free Radical dev teams.

A new development studio has sprung up in France courtesy of Mindscape. The new studio is called Punchers Impact, and from their starting line-up of staffers, they’re certainly aiming at making an impact in the video gaming industry. If you may know, many of their new members used to be members of Electronic Arts and Free Radical dev teams.

Guillaume Descamps, who was previously a part of the ZigZag Island and DK Games, fills in the role of studio director and executive producer. The new dev team is not wasting anytime working on their first game as well. Said Descamps, “I am confident about the challenges that the team have taken on and I can’t wait to unveil our first project.”

Mother company Mindscape announced that they already have their first game on the working table, and that they expect it to be out by the end of 2010. Manaing Director Thierry Bensoussan also said this about the new dev team:

“It is very important for us to be involved at the heart of our industry by offering gamers the games they expect. By building a pool of creative talent within a single studio, we’re ensuring that Punchers Impact has solid financial foundations allowing it to focus on developing innovative products.”
