Mini-Review of Demo FFXI Game

The kind folks over at Team Xbox, concerned that Final Fantasy XI would end up stinking the Xbox more than it would do good, got to working and reviewing the upcoming demo included in the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine.

The mini-review highlights all the strong points of the title, as well as some of the things the author wishes could have been changed in order to make it a little more welcoming to the next-gen audience, but, overall, he maintains a positive opinion about the title.

“Yes, this demo is a pain to even get up and running, and so may be the final version. The graphics are old-school, the soundtrack is MIDI-tastic, and you?ll have to pull out your reading glasses for the oodles of small font text you?ll have to read. Basically, by Xbox 360 software standards, Final Fantasy XI is a bit behind the times. But guess what? This is the first MMORPG ever to grace an Xbox! And for that, the optimist in me says that things will get better by the time this game is done.”

It’s a good read for those of you on the fence about the game.
