MMOGs at a 2-Day MASSIVE Summit on Networked Games
A research summit on the future of networked multiplayer games will be held on the 20th April at the UC in Irvine. The summit, known as MASSIVE, will tackle the advancing research and development of MMOG culture and technology. MASSIVE will feature 25 speakers with City of Heroes lead designer Jack Emmert delivering the keynote. The event will conduct discussions on future design, technical and cultural challenges in MMOGs, current and future research agendas from both industry and academia, plus case studies and future models for industry academia collaboration. ItÂ’s not exactly E3 but could still be interesting.
