Mobile Suit Gundam 00 trailer launches
One promising yet little known title for the Nintendo DS is Namco Bandai‘s Mobile Suit Gundam 00, which is set to launch on March 27 in Japan. While it may not see a western release anytime soon, importers and fans of the anime series will surely love how good it’s shaping up to be. You can watch the trailer at the full article to see for yourself.
It’s no understatement to say Nintendo DS owners are in for a great 2008. Another promising title they can look forward to (as if Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles weren’t enough) is Mobile Suit Gundam 00 by Namco Bandai. As fans of those massive Japanese robots would guess, it’s a tie-in with the most recent Gundam series.
The video below, first we’ve seen of the DS title, shows a good portion of this mecha fighting game’s gameplay both inside and outside of battle. Combat looks great considering it’s a DS title, and it seems storyline parts will come in good doses. Similar to the anime, the mobile suits can transform which should provide more ways to destroy the enemy.
Aside from battling robots and talking to pretty boys, there’s also a mode in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 that allows players to view models of actual Gundam toy kits and customize them to their liking. You can pick up your favorite from Gundam 00, then make it do cool poses.
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 is slated for release on March 27 in Japan. The anime series of the same title is yet to air stateside, so we’re not positive if it will ever reach the west. Then again, fans who really want a piece of handheld mech action can always import. Check out the embedded trailer and see if you like it.
