Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen 0079 announced for the Wii, scans

A new entry in Namco Bandai‘s popular Gundam series has been announced for the Nintendo Wii video games console. According to Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, the new title, Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen 0079, will be released in Japan on July 26. You can check out the scans below for a closer look at the game.

Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen 0079 will reportedly utilize the Wiimote both for aiming the Gundams’ big-ass guns and for executing melee attacks. It will also be possible to pick up weapons from fallen enemies and use them to blow away whatever opposition is left.

The game is is reportedly 80% done, so we should be getting some gameplay videos of this title soon. Judging from the success of the PS3 title Gundam Musou and the franchise’s popularity, Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen 0079 could also prove to be a Wii console mover in Japan. No news yet on a North American release, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
