Modern warfare 2 shatters another Xbox Live record
Despite being hounded by negative press lately due to internal issues surrounding the studio and encountering various problems when the map pack was released, it looks like Modern Warfare 2 is still unfazed by the competion as Microsoft has announced today last week’s release of the Stimulus Package has shattered another Xbox Live records as more than one million gamers worldwide has downloaded the new map pack within the first twenty-four hours of release, and surpassing the 2.5 million mark within the first week.
Despite being hounded by negative press lately due to internal issues surrounding the studio and encountering various problems when the map pack was released, it looks like Modern Warfare 2 is still unfazed by the competion as Microsoft has announced today last week’s release of the Stimulus Package has shattered another Xbox Live records as more than one million gamers worldwide has downloaded the new map pack within the first twenty-four hours of release, and surpassing the 2.5 million mark within the first week.
Released last week, the Stimulus Package extends the multiplayer experience of the latest action-pack title with the addition of five maps. Microsoft’s press release also added another remarkable numbers:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have invested more than 1.75 billion hours of gameplay on Xbox LIVE alone since the title’s release in November, which is equal to more than 200,000 years of gameplay playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package is currently available only on the Xbox 360, with the PS3 and PC released soon. According to to Robert Bowling tweet:
