All in all, this puts the total sales of the whole Monster Hunter franchise up to 6.3 million units worldwide. For those still not familiar with the new things that come with 2nd G, Capcom provided this overview:

The overwhelming success and popularity of the Monster Hunter franchise together with a renewed focus on cooperative play has gained this title tremendous support.

Also, in addition to new regions and monsters, the introduction of the Felyne Comrade System along with the ability to transfer data over from “Monster Hunter Freedom 2” has been very well-received.

Until now, however, details regarding an international release are yet to be confirmed. Keep an eye on this space for more updates in the following days.
