Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, MGS4 reigns supreme in Famitsu’s Best PSP, PS3 Games for 2008
This is one tough list to get into, and so we tip our hats to the game titles that were hailed as one of Famitsu‘s Best PSP and PS3 Games for the past year of 2008. No surprise there, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G from Capcom took the sweet number 1 spot, with cherry on top for the Sony handheld, while Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 4 leads the pack for the PS3, with no less than a shining perfect score from the reviewers.

More on the PSP front: Capcom takes the number 2 spot as well with God of War: Chains of Olympus, and then Square Enix comes in at third with Dissidia. Best publisher went to SCEJ, thanks to the six titles that made it on the Famitsu best list. Namco Bandai follows suit with four games, three of them all from the Gundam franchise.
Meanwhile, for the PS3, GTA IV takes first runner up position, followed closely by LittleBigPlanet at number 3. 60 PS3 titles were reviewed by the panel, and 32 of these scored more than 30 points.
There were four reviewers who scored the games, with 10 being the highest.
