Nintendo’s More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima continues to outsell despite the rise of Activision‘s recent phenomenon, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The recent numbers from Chart Track for the week ending January 5, 2008 in the UK pits the Nintendo DS game as the most sold, followed by the Microsoft Xbox 360 version of Infinity Ward‘s first-person shooter. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training trails at third, closing the top three.

For the most sales last week, EA SportsFIFA 08 hiked up to reign supreme over the top ten. Call of Duty 4 moved up one spot to second spot, while The Simpsons Game from Electronic Arts followed suit to third. Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed dropped three seats to number four, sitting right above idle Need for Speed: ProStreet from Electronic Arts.

Non-mover Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 from Konami Digital keeps sixth spot, while The Golden Compass from Sega lands one place lower from number 10. Nintendo’s More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima hasn’t let go of eighth spot, and the last non-mover for the week, Activision’s Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, rips mad riffs at ninth. Closing the top ten is WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2008 from THQ, which seemed to have traded places with The Golden Compass.
