More details on the eight arms of No-Kone Puzzle: Takoron

Tako!!Ever since it was first sighted, No-Kone Puzzle: Takoron has been wrapped up in its own enigma. And actually, the game title itself was previously heard to have been Nomiso Kone Kone Takoron Puzzle. Good thing developer Compile Heart has finally revealed more info on this puzzler of a puzzle game.

You’ll be using the Wiimote to move a 2-by-2 grid-cursor around, and place different kinds of octopi in them. Pressing the A button will rotate the octopi in the grid and allow you to place them around the numbered nets. Your goal is to match the same colored octopi in the same net to eliminate them from the field.

The game will also have a Versus mode which plays much like Puyo Pop. Clearing a group of octopi on your grid will send some itchy urchins to your opponent’s side of the screen and make it harder for them to move the eight-tentacled mollusks around.

Compile Heart has announced that the game is ready for a summer release in Japan. As for an English version, there’s still no word. For now, we’ll keep our tentacles stretched out for any updates.
