Encore is basically five new levels for the game. No easy task, he reveals, saying, “Thinking up new stages for Eden was hard work. We put a lot of stuff into the original game…” To make it all better, they’re gonna retro-patch Eden to add a new feature for Encore – if you jump three full seeds in a row, the Prowlers on-screen all explode into a big cloud of pollen. It’s gonna be up in a few weeks so boot your original Eden when it comes out and you’ll get the update.
You’ll also get a nice zero-G item that’ll levitate your little buddy, so you won’t have to fear the deadly free-fall – unless of course, it wears off and there are no vines to save your butt. You can also collect 25 new Spectra, completing which would “enable you to play the entire game again in a completely different way,” according to Cuthbert.
The expansion comes at US$ 5.99, and if you love your Grimp, it’s all gonna be worth it.
