More Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories details

It appears that as the October release date for Rockstar’s eagerly-awaited Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for the PSP draws nearer, more and more info about the ins and outs of this game keep coming our way. UGO stopped by the Rockstar office and found out something that some GTA readers will be shocked to learn, whilst others rejoice at a bit of a change in the long-running series. GTA fans will know the hidden packages in previous GTA games and to be honest – you either love them or hate them. Picking up random packages from around the map for rewards was never really my idea of fun, I preferred the action part of the game.

Players will now have to pop the balloons rather than find the hidden packages, which is supposed to have some kind of pun relating to the 80’s. When UGO took a trip to Rockstar studios, they managed to pop a balloon which prompted the message “1 of 99 red balloons found”.

Vice City Stories is due to be released on October 31 in North America on the PSP and will be rolling out to Europe in November.
